As heartbreaking, outrageous and disgraceful as it is understandable. France is a country in crisis and ever-widening division and tension, hamstrung by fear and mistrust.
Where do they (we?) go from here? You certainly get the impression that things will get a whole lot worse before they get better. IF they can ever get better.
